Monkeys

Monkeys are a diverse group of mammals belonging to the primate order. They are found in tropical and subtropical regions across Africa, Asia, and South America. There are over 260 species of monkeys, ranging from small, tree-dwelling species to larger ground-dwelling ones.

Monkeys have long arms and legs, flexible bodies, and opposable thumbs that allow them to climb trees and grasp objects. They also have keen eyesight and hearing, which help them navigate their environment and detect predators.

Many species of monkey live in social groups, where they communicate with each other using vocalizations, facial expressions, and body language. Some species are known for their intelligence and ability to learn new behaviors.

However, some species of monkey are threatened by habitat loss, hunting, and the illegal pet trade. Conservation efforts are underway to protect these species and their habitats.

Gorilla

Gorillas are the largest living primates, inhabiting the forests of Africa, and are known for their impressive size, strength, and intelligence, with a diet primarily consisting of plants such as fruits, leaves, stems, and roots, but also insects.

Orangutan

Orangutans are a species of great ape found in the rainforests of Indonesia and Malaysia, known for their distinctive reddish-brown fur, long arms, and adaptations to life in trees.

Chimpanzee

Chimpanzees are one of the most closely related species to humans, sharing around 98.7% of their DNA with us, and inhabit the forests of Central and West Africa, where they live in communities and exhibit complex social behavior.
